The Decade Coordination Office for Ocean Data Sharing Enters a New Phase!

The DCO-ODS has officially scaled up its operations as of February 3, 2025, marking a new chapter in advancing global ocean data sharing. With Dr. Adam Leadbetter joining as Lead Manager, the office is set to strengthen its role in fostering collaboration and building a more connected digital ocean ecosystem.

After a successful first phase—engaging with Decade Actions and gathering valuable insights through a dedicated survey—the DCO-ODS is now deepening its efforts through the Community of Practice and partnerships with key Ocean Decade entities, including the DCC for Ocean Prediction and the DCO for Ocean Observing.
