2025 SUMMER SCHOOL : Coastal and Regional Ocean Community Model

Join the 2025 CROCO Summer School in South Africa!

The international consortium CROCO-South, part of the CROCO research network, is organizing a Summer School from 24 November to 5 December 2025 at the Center for High Performance Computing in Cape Town, South Africa. This event supports the growing scientific community around the CROCO model (Coastal and Regional Ocean Community model), a powerful tool for simulating regional and coastal ocean dynamics, particularly in the Global South.

A two-week training programme:
  • Week 1 (24–28 November): Introductory course — perfect for beginners or those needing a refresher.
  • Week 2 (1–5 December): Choose between two advanced modules:
    • Ocean-biogeochemical coupling (CROCO-PISCES)
    • Ocean-atmosphere coupling (CROCO-WRF)

In-person and free of charge (limited spots; some funding available).

The school aims to build capacity in ocean modelling and strengthen North-South and South-South collaborations, with a focus on sustainable science and knowledge sharing.
