This year, Our Ocean Conference leaves the shores of Busan to join the historic coast of Kenya in Mombasa for the 11th edition of Our Ocean Conference!
The theme of this year, ‘Our Ocean, Our Heritage, Our Future’ focuses on celebrating the human connection to the ocean - with an assortment of community lead events, high-level panel events and official side events around Mombasa.
On 17 June, from 14:00–16:00 EAT, and as part of the Our Ocean Conference activities, OPERA/Mercator Ocean International will co-host an Ocean Monitoring Masterclass in partnership with Sote Hub, a leading blue economy incubation hub and training centre based in Mombasa, Kenya, and the Early Career Ocean Professionals Programme, Africa Node
This two-hour hybrid session will be facilitated by representatives from the OceanPrediction DCC African Regional Team, ECOP AFRICA NODE, the OPERA Project, and other ocean experts.
