OceanPredict'24: Advancing Ocean Prediction Science for Societal Benefit

Save the date for OceanPredict'24, taking place from November 18th to November 22nd at UNESCO in Paris. This symposium is a gathering of ocean and atmospheric scientists, observation specialists, industry representatives, service providers, and users of ocean data & products from the international operational oceanography community.

The overarching theme of OP’24 is “Advancing ocean prediction science for societal benefit”. It aims to accelerate the evolution of operational oceanography, identify the changing needs of users, and align objectives with the goals of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).

The symposium will feature science sessions, exhibitions, and discussions to explore and define the direction of operational oceanography. Representatives from service providers and end-user communities are especially encouraged to exhibit their work and engage with the science community. Additionally, early career scientists, students, and representatives from emerging economies are encouraged to attend.
